4.  We do offer discounts for multiple sibling registrations (must be registered at the same time).  We also offer payment plans.
These will be applied during the registration process.

5.  With the shortage in gym space and the growing interest in playing volleyball, our club is preparing for a "hybrid" season with
both in the gym and outdoor at one of the local parks.  Specific practice days and times will be determined soon.

6.  Players are assigned to their age division based on the AAU Indoor Volleyball Age Guidelines.  Scroll down for guidelines.

7.  Players in the 12u and 14u division will go through Placement Practices at the end of the Fall Season.  The top scoring Players will be invited to play on the 14u Travel Team.

8.  Please go to the CONNECT tab, then PARENT PORTAL page to review the information on "Preparing Your Player".

9.  Each year, Players are REQUIRED to participate in one club community service project.  If you have a community service project that needs our help, please submit your request to our Program Director for club review.

10.  Each year, Players are REQUIRED to participate in a minimum of one (1) club fundraiser.  Profits from club fundraisers go back to the Club for various projects and equipment.  Club fundraisers are usually done in the Spring Season.

11.  Each year, Players are REQUIRED to attend scorekeeping and referee training.  This usually happens in the Spring Season.

12.  From January through May, Ho'oikaika VBC hosts Mini Tournaments at our Waimea gym.  Clubs on the Island are invited to participate.  Mini Tournaments are held on Saturdays and are divided up by age division, therefore, each division will not be playing every Saturday.  Occasionally, Ho'oikaika Teams are invited to scrimmage other clubs on the Island.  Should such invite be received, the Coach will inform the Team with details and traveling to that Club's gym is required.

13.  Our regular Ho'oikaika season ends in May with our Invitational Tournament.  We usually schedule our Tournament during the Memorial Day weekend.  This Tournament is open to teams across the US.  ALL Ho'oikaika Players are REQUIRED to participate in this Tournament.  More details will be distributed as the season progresses.

We Need Your Help!

Aloha Ho'oikaika VBC Ohana,

We're being asked to write Letters of Recommendation explaining the importance of having gyms available here on the westside.

For those who have not heard, the current Waimea High School Gym belongs to the County of Kauai. There's plans currently under review to build WHS their own gym on their school property. If approved, the estimated completion date is 2026. Once WHS has their own gym, the County will then review to decide if the current gym should be available for use by the community, or, to break it down and use the property for something else.

In addition, our current Waimea Ed Center gym is also under review. The existing lease that the Waimea Christian Center currently holds, ends in December. To date, they have not allowed me to make payment or reservations for our new season as they are unsure who will continue the lease. I'm in communication with Pat Porter, COK Parks & Rec Director. He is currently reviewing what is available and if the County can help with our immediate needs. Our main goal is to find us a gym to continue in. If there's no gyms available, we will use the parks as a backup until a gym becomes available.

Parents, Players and Coaches - Your "voices" are needed!! I would truly appreciate if you could please take some time out of your busy day to write a letter to Pat Porter at the County of Kauai, Mahina Anguay, WHS Principal and Pastor Olaf, Waimea United Church of Christ, explaining why it is so IMPORTANT for 1. the WHS gym to be built, 2. the existing gyms to remain open and to be available to our community and our Club! Please submit your letters by Aug. 03 via email. Email to the following:

I know there's a promising future for all of our Players. Our LOVE for the game, our Volleyball Club and Ohana will not go quiet because we are faced with adversity. We are SURVIVORS! We find a way, we adapt and we keep moving forward!!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I APPRECIATE you All!
